We’ve each had the privilege of working at The Arts Firm since nearly its beginning as collaborators, consultants, and committed champions of the arts sector in Canada. Now, we’re honoured to step into new roles as owners of The Arts Firm, and we wanted to share a few reflections as we begin this next chapter.

Over the years, our work has taken us across disciplines, communities, and corners of the country. We’ve worked with dozens of Canadian arts organizations on strategy projects and digital initiatives, and over 1,000 arts professionals have enrolled in our ArtsBoost course offerings.We will continue listening closely to what the sector needs now, and responding with practical, forward-thinking solutions.We’ve seen firsthand the heart of this sector:

• A deep dedication to building and sustaining vibrant communities through the arts.
• A clear need for better access to tools, resources, and support to help organizations grow and adapt.
• A thirst for learning and professional development that’s tailored to the needs of Canadian arts professionals.

The Arts Firm has always been about equipping the arts sector with thoughtful, strategic, and human-centered support. As long-time collaborators, we saw a natural opportunity to continue that work with fresh energy and a renewed focus.

We are very thankful to the vision and determination of outgoing Managing Director Erika Beatty, who has guided both the company and ourselves to where it all is today. She has more than earned her retirement.

We are also indebted to the work of the current roster of Associates that we have the pleasure of working with at The Arts Firm. This is a forward-thinking, deeply knowledgeable and experienced group of experts – a dream team!In the months ahead, you’ll see familiar programs like ArtsBoost continue to evolve with new courses and initiatives coming soon, alongside new offerings focused on digital tools, sustainability, and fund development. Same goes for Sounding Board, which offers one-on-one support matching a member of your team with a member of ours.
